Description

Filtration sands are engineered to optimise the performance of potable water filtration, industrial water filtration and waste treatment. All grades are processed and sized to meet specified and contracted requirements for consistently uniform and chemically inert filter media. Filtration sand media is resistant to degradation during handling and backwashing.

Rotek Australia has a range of solid filtration media for use with manual and automatic backwash filter systems. These systems are used as pre-treatment stages for reverse osmosis, ultra-filtration and similar membrane processes, run-off water filtration and general sediment removal applications. Filter beds are designed with multiple layers of graded media to provide maximum removal of suspended solids of a specified particle size range. Washed media commonly used for underbed and filtration are shown below.
